I am elated to have found a site dedicated to the those who have studied in Paya Lebar School. Although the school is no longer in existence, the spirit still lives on with you all who have banded together to create a sort of "alumni". May more old PLSians discover this site and share in the many happy memories they had.

I still remember my primary 1 class teacher was Miss Tan, then primary 2 was Mrs neubronner, while in pr 3- Cikgu Raji, then Miss Lim, then Miss quake. It's a very good site. Thanks for the site.

Hey, Kelvin. My name is Albert Ong. This is a very interesting blog that I stumbled upon 2 days ago (26 Oct 2022).
Glad to note that your blog was "alive" in the new millennium and that you managed to attract a few old students of the school.
In Jan 1956 I was posted to PLS as a new teacher just fresh from school. I remember a Miss Pearly Tan who was posted there as a young teacher, too. Later I met an Anthony Wee (now deceased) who was a 2nd yr Normal Trainee teacher and a Lim Keh Heng who later became a principal and retired in 1988. He's still alive and living in Teachers Housing Estate.
I am now 86 yrs old but still interested in things related to my first teaching job!
And sad to say, I have not managed to find anything about PLS in the 1950s.
